Whether your goal is to learn the Tango Romantica, land an axel, or glide across the ice with grace, you will find the inspiring setting of Central Park coupled with our committed coaches and the camaraderie of your fellow skating enthusiasts the ideal recipe to reaching your skating dreams. Clinics in jump & spin technique, skating skill, ice dance and power skating are offered throughout the winter skating season. Fee includes all weekly classes, freestyle, and public skating sessions. This season, we have two program levels for the adult figure skating academy program:
Adult Aspire Academy: This program is appropriate for skaters who are currently working on single jumps and basic spin positions (upright, sit, camel) as well as skaters who might just be starting to learn these skills. Skaters in this program should have a basic proficiency in forward & backward crossovers, all forward 3-turns and Mohawks. Classes meet Monday-Friday at 8am.
Adult Excel Academy: This level is intended for confident skaters who can land most of their single jumps consistently, are comfortable with some challenging turns, such twizzles and brackets and are working on advanced spin combinations. Fee includes all weekly classes, freestyle, and public skating sessions. Classes meet Monday-Friday at 7:30am
