The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY) provides enriching and inclusive after school programming for boys and young men ages 7-21. The organization’s open door policy ensures that any boy can join, no matter his zip code, immigration status or family income. In 144 years of continuous operation, BCNY has positively influenced the lives of over a million boys and young men. BCNY serves this mission by providing effective programs and a supportive community with over 40 engaging and inclusive programs. One such program, Career Prep, helps BCNY members become workforce-ready by providing training programs, workshops to improve interview skills, and resume writing as part of a strategy to help teens secure internships. We see Wollman as an extension of this program by being a potential workforce option where BCNY participants can access summer youth employment opportunities.
